The farrier was here yesterday, trimmed all the girls, each got a clean bill of hoof health. It started snowing late last evening and now we have between 4 - 6 inches of fresh snow on the ground. Lakota went out this afternoon while the barn was cleaned, but the other 2 didn't want any part of the snow and elected to just wander around inside while their stalls were mucked.

30 years ago today my mother took me to Utica to pick up my first German Shepherd puppy in a snow storm. Just goes to show you; mom's will do anything for their kids. He was 8 weeks old, a black and silver, sweet puppy. Apache CD, miss you bud, you were awesome!!

Today's Quote:

“The way horses live their lives is a metaphor for life’s priorities. It’s not always about winning or losing, it’s also about the quality of the experience, the journey itself, and putting your heart into what you do.” -Diane Lane
